God is not a respecter of persons. Forget your past! Forget your weakness! Forget your failure! Today is a new day! God’s mercies are new every morning. Today is a new day; every day is a new day. Live in the “now faith”. Live in the “new mercies”. Live in the “new grace”. Forget the past, God is not condemning you. When they brought a woman to Jesus who was caught in the very act of adultery, they took up stones to stone her and they said, “according to the law of Moses we are required to stone her.” Jesus turned around and said, “Whichever one of you that is without sin cast the first stone.” Jesus stooped down, He was writing on the floor, He was tapping on the wisdom of God, the wisdom of the Father; and the conviction of the Holy Ghost fell upon all the accusers. They put the stones down one by one because they knew within themselves that they all had sin in their life, there is nobody that is perfect. The Bible declares that if we say that we have no sin the truth is not in us, but if we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive, and cleanse us from all unrighteousness. So before you try to take the stone and cast it at your brother, or pluck out the speck that is in your brother or sister’s eye, take out first the log that is in your own eyes. Matthew 7:1-5 1 Judge not, that ye be not judged. 2 For with what judgment ye judge, ye shall be judged: and with what measure ye mete, it shall be measured to you again. 3 And why beholdest thou the mote that is in thy brother's eye, but considerest not the beam that is in thine own eye? 4 Or how wilt thou say to thy brother, Let me pull out the mote out of thine eye; and, behold, a beam is in thine own eye? 5 Thou hypocrite, first cast out the beam out of thine own eye; and then shalt thou see clearly to cast out the mote out of thy brother's eye. God doesn’t want us to be like the Pharisees; He wants us to be Christ-like. God wants us to follow the example of Jesus’ lifestyle. Jesus did not cast a stone at the woman that was caught in the very act of adultery, so neither should we. Jesus brought, healing, restoration, forgiveness, and transformation to the woman that was caught in adultery. I always want to see things through the eye of grace, the eye of mercy, the eye of Jesus. What would Jesus do? How would Jesus react to this situation? Stop judging other people, stop condemning other people and stop condemning yourself. The reason why people judge and condemn other people is because they are judging and condemning themselves. ![]() These article is an excerpt from Esther Simeon's book Expect Miracles Signs & Wonders.
