![]() Fear of failure is one of the most common reasons why people hold back from trying something new. The new thing they desire could be:
When people hold back from trying something new because of the possibility that they might fail if they try, then they have to deal with the fear of failure. It’s better to try something new rather than just dream and wondered what could have happened if they had tried. When people struggle with an overwhelming fear of failure, they often pull back at attempting something new, some may call it playing it safe, but inwardly they are unhappy and are dissatisfied with the apparent stagnant condition they find themselves due to the fear, which is hold them back. If you have ever held back on a goal or avoided taking action that would lead to a positive outcome, you may have been fearful that you might fail. Fear of failure can be subtle because our minds can come up with endless excuses why it‘s not a good time to take a risk right now, or how the odds don‘t seem to be in our favor, and so on. Fear of failure is often rooted in negative expectation of failure and could be compounded by the fear of past failure repeating itself, if you have ever tried something that failed or did not work out as planned. Now is time to take Positive Steps to Overcome the Fear of Failure. 1. Write down what you are trying to achieve; 2. First present your desires and goals to God in prayer, asking for wisdom guidance and direction, and praying for God’s perfect will in your life; 3. Then begin to chip away at the automated fear of failure that prevents you from trying something new, by speaking directly to it in this manner:
Meditate on scripture found in Philippians 4:13. See and imagine yourself doing what the fear said was impossible. As you pray and meditate on the promises in God’s word, your confidence increases, you will begin to see the possibility of success, and the expectation of failure begin to fade. ![]() This article is an excerpt from Esther Simeon's book Unlocking Your Power Over Fear. ![]() Jesus Christ is the same today, yesterday and forever. If God healed yesterday, he wants to heal today, if God heal today; he wants to heal tomorrow and forever. Healing is a part of the new covenant promises for every one of God’s children. God want you well, and God want you healed.
Jesus said in John 10:10 “The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life and that they might have it more abundantly”. Jesus came so that we can have life, and to have life abundantly. The abundant life means: great amount of supply of life, health, wellness, and well being. Sickness, pain, and disease are not part of the abundant life. Jesus carried our sins and sickness on his own body and took it to the cross for us all, so that we do not have to carry sickness, and by the stripes of Jesus Christ the price for our healing was paid, and by His stripes we are healed. 1Peter 2:24 “Who his own self bare our sins in his own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness: by whose stripes ye were healed”. The word of God is health to all parts of your body. As you feed your spirit with the word of God and meditate on it consistently, morning, noon and at night; the healing power in the word of God will flow into your spirit, and from your spirit to your body and entire being. There is life in the word. God is not a respecter of persons. Forget your past! Forget your weakness! Forget your failure! Today is a new day! God’s mercies are new every morning. Today is a new day; every day is a new day. Live in the “now faith”. Live in the “new mercies”. Live in the “new grace”. Forget the past, God is not condemning you. When they brought a woman to Jesus who was caught in the very act of adultery, they took up stones to stone her and they said, “according to the law of Moses we are required to stone her.” Jesus turned around and said, “Whichever one of you that is without sin cast the first stone.” Jesus stooped down, He was writing on the floor, He was tapping on the wisdom of God, the wisdom of the Father; and the conviction of the Holy Ghost fell upon all the accusers. They put the stones down one by one because they knew within themselves that they all had sin in their life, there is nobody that is perfect. The Bible declares that if we say that we have no sin the truth is not in us, but if we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive, and cleanse us from all unrighteousness. So before you try to take the stone and cast it at your brother, or pluck out the speck that is in your brother or sister’s eye, take out first the log that is in your own eyes. Matthew 7:1-5 1 Judge not, that ye be not judged. 2 For with what judgment ye judge, ye shall be judged: and with what measure ye mete, it shall be measured to you again. 3 And why beholdest thou the mote that is in thy brother's eye, but considerest not the beam that is in thine own eye? 4 Or how wilt thou say to thy brother, Let me pull out the mote out of thine eye; and, behold, a beam is in thine own eye? 5 Thou hypocrite, first cast out the beam out of thine own eye; and then shalt thou see clearly to cast out the mote out of thy brother's eye. God doesn’t want us to be like the Pharisees; He wants us to be Christ-like. God wants us to follow the example of Jesus’ lifestyle. Jesus did not cast a stone at the woman that was caught in the very act of adultery, so neither should we. Jesus brought, healing, restoration, forgiveness, and transformation to the woman that was caught in adultery. I always want to see things through the eye of grace, the eye of mercy, the eye of Jesus. What would Jesus do? How would Jesus react to this situation? Stop judging other people, stop condemning other people and stop condemning yourself. The reason why people judge and condemn other people is because they are judging and condemning themselves. ![]() These article is an excerpt from Esther Simeon's book Expect Miracles Signs & Wonders. Perfect love comes from God, and it can be received and experienced. It occurs when we enter into a state of complete trust, peace and harmony with God. We feel we can let our guards down in God’s love and presence, we feel save, loved and protected, we feel assured that God is with us always, we feel that God will never disappoint or let us down, we feel like we are floating in the wind of grace, peace and love. We feel that no danger or harm will be allowed to hurt or harm us. We feel protected, we sense God’s presence, we feel God’s angels are watching over us, we feel that we are not alone or destitute and God is with us. He will never leave or forsake us no matter what. When we feel or experience this we can live and operate in perfect love, which automatically drives away fear. Fear cannot operate where this is total peace and harmony with God, and you can experience this. When you are afraid, you cannot love. When you are afraid, you are not able to experience love, joy, peace and all the other attributes of the fruits of the Spirit. If allowed the forces of fear operating can displace love if fear is allowed to operate. However, the forces of the Love of God in you will displace and remove fear, if you allow your heart to be filled with God's Love, and apply God’s word, in every situation; you will always beat fear at his game. ![]() |
